Dal Fry, must for every Indian foodie

Dal Fry is usually prepared with yellow lentils or toovar dal. It can also be prepared using masoor or moong dal. Dal fry and Tadke wali dal are the popular two dal dishes served in Indian restaurants as well as prepared in Indian households. Its made either as thick gravy or thin gravy depending upon person to person and their tastes. In India Dal is a favorite with the rich and the poor. Ingredients:

1 cup tur daal (Soak it in water for an hour prior to the cooking)

Salt as per your taste

1 small tomato chopped

1 small onion chopped

1tsp haldi powder

1tsp cumin seeds

Create a paste of 3-4 green chillies and 4-5 Garlic cloves.

For tadka-

Cooking oil

2 garlic

Few curry leaves

1tsp Mustard seeds

2 red chillies

Coriander for garnishing.
